Life gets a lot simpler when you clear the clutter that makes it complicated. Bringing our attention back to what’s important and dismantling the distraction in our heads - insert MEDITATION, by definition, (curiosity, and awareness) whatever that looks like for you.

Our days fill up so fast, and they are so rushed and packed with distractions, sometimes they literally seem to be bursting at the seams. I know exactly how this feels. This used to be my life too!

Before I started breath work and meditation! I was being pulled different directions every day and never had enough time to get everything done. Naturally, I wanted to do a great job with each obligation I had, and somehow, I had convinced myself that I could do it all. But the reality was I was stretched way too thin, and I was doing a lousy job at everything and completely stressing myself out in the process. This feeling of being mind-numbingly busy and overbooked is a huge source of stress for most people, and stress is perhaps the single most important determining factor of whether we’re healthy and happy, or sick and tired, or just could old fashioned sick of being sick & tired. The happiness of our life depends on the quality of our thoughts, and the mind is indeed our battleground.

The mind is the place where everything starts. We cannot have a single human experience without the thought first passing through the minds gateway. We want our mind to be contributing to our lives and not contaminating so, I suggest beginning a practise of media ration for stress relief. Giving yourself the space to listen to your own voice – your own soul.

Too many of us listen to the noise of the world and get lost in the crowd.

I started a meditative practise from the age of 8 after watching the powerful movie The Big Blue, with my father in the 80’s. Albeit it has taking me 35 years to find a practise that works for me, here’s my top three.

One

The Wim Hoff Breathing Method – The first pillar of the Wim Hof Method is breathing. We’re always breathing, yet we’re mostly unaware of its tremendous potential. Heightened oxygen levels hold a treasure trove of benefits, and the specialized breathing technique of the Wim Hof Method unearths them all I have done 2 of his workshops with the man himself.

Two

Dr Joe Dispenza – Being a highly sensitive person, I have experienced unbearable pain around me. Dr Joe takes us to the core of our heart while connecting with the brain. Most of the time, while using our heart, we forget what the mind says. He drops a seed of humanity into our soul, mixing them both, brain and heart.

Three

JMT Mind Gym Reset Breath Method – 5 breaths to start (3-5 sec in 3-5 sec out no pause between inhalation and exhilaration). Then hold for 5 secs 10 breaths next and a 10 sec breath hold 15 breaths next then 15 sec breath hold, then continue to a 90 sec max!

During the peace and silence, use your senses for awareness, and curiosity to create mindfulness and clarity.

Use that powerful subconscious to get the answers you need for the questions you may have.
